MBS Casino Visualization (UE5)

For this project, I was tasked to create a replica of the current casino in Marina Bay Sands.

The objective of the project was to create a digital twin of the casino and make it so that we could view it in VR for the stakeholders in the company to use it as a tool to visualize upcoming changes to the casino floor.

It is used to allow stakeholders to make precise and informed decision on the arrangement/layout of the machines on the casino floor before making a commitment. The visualization helps them to better see if the amount of space between the machines for the patrons to walk around and also make decisions on which type of machines at certain areas would block their view on certain signages and advertising screens.

Process

I was provided with the blueprint of the casino and from there, I used it to model out the walls of the casino interior to scale. I frequently visit the Casino floor to take a look at the structure and finishing of the interior walls and furniture, taking pictures to help with texturing and material creation. Most of the Slots machines/game tables were provided in an AutoCAD file. Which I then clean up the models and create the different LODs to keep It smooth when using the play function in Unreal Engine. From time to time, the position of the machines/tables would get updated and when the stakeholders want to get a feel of how it would turn out when executed, I would occasionally be tasked to update it in Unreal engine for the stakeholders to view and make their decision from the visualization. I was responsible for modelling, texturing, shading everything.

LODs

Some examples of the machines that I modeled/cleaned up (if provided) and created their LODs.
